Sarkar Lake Canoe Route with our ultralight canoes

When we buy our outdoor equipment, we buy it with the demanding environment of the Tongass National Forest, a temperate rainforest, in mind. We provide equipment which is specifically built to allow visitors to access developed and undeveloped areas on Prince of Wales Island. When we purchased our Wenonah Escape kevlar canoes, we specifically had the Sarkar Lake canoe route in mind. Several portages on a 15 mile loop make this route challenging, yet the challenge is rewarded by seldom-seen old growth forest, wetland environments hosting numerous species of birds and wildlife, and the beauty of a remote area infrequently visited. A couple of our visitors just returned from this route with one of our canoes, along with other gear we provided, and here are a few photos they took along the way. This is a gem of an area!
